Ricardo Ramirez, PhD

Ricardo N. Ramirez is a genome and data science leader with expertise in epigenetics, computational biology, immunology, and gene-editing technologies, bridging discovery science and translational strategy to advance precision therapies for rare disease.

He earned his PhD at UC Irvine mapping gene-regulatory networks, contributing to the ENCODE and STATegra consortia, then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School studying regulatory T cells and chromatin architecture through FoxP3.

He later served as Data Science Lead at a Boston-based biotech and founded RNR Consulting LLC, partnering with biotech and nonprofit organizations on drug discovery and multi-omic data integration.

As Chief Scientific Officer for the MED13L Foundation, Ricardo leads investigational research and preclinical strategy to advance therapies for MED13L syndrome, uniting researchers, clinicians, and caregivers around meaningful impact for the community.
